Roane State Volleyball has held onto their undefeated status after sweeping Cumberland University on September 15. The Lady Raiders are now 14-0, the best start in program history.
This is the fourth season for the Lady Raiders, who have already made quite a name for themselves on the regional and national level. In week two of competition this season, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) ranked the Lady Raiders at No. 20 in its Division II ranking. In week three, Roane State lost its spot in the Top 20 but still recieved votes.
The next home game is scheduled for Tuesday, September 19, against Walters State, one of Roane State's main rivals. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET in the Harriman campus gym. Admission is free for Roane State students and college employees.
"We are asking every member of Raider Nation to join us," said David Lane, RSCC's athletics director. "Please come out and help us cheer on the Lady Raiders as they look to continue their undefeated streak. This is a critical game for our team and there will be no shortage of excitement!"
After the match with Walters State, the Lady Raiders will hit the road for a stretch of away games on September 22 and 23 at Wallace State Community College.
