You are now ready to take RSCC dual enrollment classes!

Choose your courses

Speak with your high school counselor to help you make this decision.

Once you know which courses to take, you need to choose the actual class. For example, Roane State teaches a "Composition I" course. There may be a class section of that taught at Roane County High School, several at Roane State Harriman, and several via Web. Each section has its own 5-digit number to identify it. That's called the CRN, or course reference number. (Example: 14179)

To take courses at a high school

Write down the CRNs you want from the Dual Studies Schedule of Classes.

To take courses at a RSCC campus or online

Write down the CRNs you want from the RSCC Schedule of Classes.

Register for classes

See the registration instructions. You'll be using the CRNs you wrote down.

To see your registered schedule

Any time you make changes to your class schedule, always check your Detailed Schedule (click “Return to Menu” and then Detailed Schedule) to make sure the changes were accepted by the system. You may have to log out of your account and log back in for the changes to show up in your schedule.

Books

Please see your high school counselor, dual enrollment contact, or dual enrollment instructor to determine if you need to purchase textbooks for your dual enrollment course.

If you need to purchase books, learn how to purchase books for your classes. Book ISBN information is provided for each class, so you may use any bookstore of your choosing which has the book. Used books cost less!
