Overview
The Sacred Music program will prepare you for a variety of worship environments
- Learn the basics of piano, guitar, and voice.
- Take hands-on courses for ensembles (band and choir), digital music, conducting, accompanying, and more.
Earn your certificate in Sacred Music
- Embed the certificate in your A. S. Music degree as a music major.
- Add the certification to your previously earned music degree.
- Complete the certification in addition to a non-music related degree for more marketability and employment opportunities.
Use your certificate in Sacred Music
- Transfer into an in-state or out-of-state sacred music program at a four year institution.
- Complete the A. S. Music degree and transfer into a range of music programs at a four year institution.
- Go directly into the Roane State service area workforce with job placement assistance.
How much will I make?
This certificate uses a generalized approach applicable to any worship tradition. Fees and salaries can vary greatly between traditions, denominations, budgets, etc. Recently posted part-time positions in our service area range from $3,000 to $16,000 per year. Full-time positions that require additional education can reach over $30,000 per year.
