The Tennessee Board of Regents' "From the Vice Chancellor's Shelf" summer podcast kicked off on June 6. Vice Chancellor Heidi Leming began the eight-part series by talking with the 2024 community college student finalists, including Roane State's own Troy Holt.

Holt was selected as a finalist for the Community College Student of the Year for 2024. He also won Roane State's "I'm First" essay contest in 2023, sharing part of his journey as a first generation college student.

Vice Chancellor Leming will lead discussions with a group of finalists each week including faculty, staff and students. Listen to other sessions here.
