There has been a recent change in regards to the availability of Federal Pell Grant funds for the summer semester. If you were enrolled full-time during the fall and spring semester and received your maximum Federal Pell award for the year, you may still qualify to receive Federal Pell Grant funds for the summer term. To qualify, students need to meet the following conditions:
If you were a transfer student, please see the One Stop for eligibility requirements.
If you have any questions regarding the additional funding, please see your assigned Success Coach. If you do not have a Success Coach, see the One Stop Office in Harriman or Oak Ridge or the staff at any of our off-campus sites.
Verification is the process to verify the accuracy of information that has been reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Not all students are required to go through the verification process. If you are selected for verification, additional documentation that supports the data provided on the FAFSA will be required.
Please contact your assigned Success Coach or the One Stop, if you do not have a Success Coach. If you wish to communicate via e-mail, please submit your questions to your Success Coach or the One Stop (onestop@roanestate.edu) from your Roane State email account.
You will have an alert in the Alert Box inside your RaiderNet portal. The alert that you have outstanding requirements for financial aid, will take you to a list of the items needed. Some items are forms that may be completed online. Documents that need to be submitted should be turned into your Success Coach or the One Stop (if you do not have a Success Coach).
Priority deadlines are the following:
You may still submit documents for the semester you wish to begin after the dates listed below, however, we cannot guarantee that your aid will be ready by the start of the semester. You are encouraged to complete outstanding requirements as soon as possible to ensure your aid package is ready and that you are considered for all sources of aid that you may be eligible for.
