How do I view my fees?

  1. Log into RaiderNet
  2. Select "Your Account"
  3. Select "Login" and the following is what you will see with a brief description:
    • Current Account Status – to see balance
    • eBills – shows Student Schedule/Bill (this includes Charges and Credits/Anticipated Credits
    • Payments – student can make a payment or view payment history
    • Payment Plans – student can sign up for a New Payment Plan
    • Refunds – student can view Refund History
    • Authorized Users – student can give others the ability to access your account information
    • My Profiles – student can update Personal Profile or on Payment Profile, student can add a payment method

How do I view my financial aid requirements?

  1. Log in to RaiderNet
  2. Select "Your Financial Aid"
  3. Select "Financial Aid Status"
  4. Select the appropriate aid year (if prompted) and click "Submit".
  5. Click on "Student Requirements"

How do I view financial aid award information?

  1. Log in to RaiderNet
  2. Select "Financial Aid" tab
  3. Select "Awards"
  4. Select "Award for Aid Year"
  5. Select appropriate Aid Year (if prompted) and click "Submit".
  6. Select "Award Overview" to see any Federal Pell Grants, supplemental Grants, Lottery, scholarships or loan amounts.
  7. Select "Award Messages" located at the bottom of the screen for important information related to each fund.

Can I recieve Federal Pell during the summer term?

There has been a recent change in regards to the availability of Federal Pell Grant funds for the summer semester. If you were enrolled full-time during the fall and spring semester and received your maximum Federal Pell award for the year, you may still qualify to receive Federal Pell Grant funds for the summer term. To qualify, students need to meet the following conditions:

  1. Be in good standing in regards to SAP or have an approved appeal in place (SAP will be calculated at the end of spring semester when all grades have been posted).
  2. Be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the summer
  3. Courses enrolled in must be required for your major
  4. Be eligible to receive Federal Pell funds based on part-time enrollment (at least 6 credit hours)

If you have any questions regarding the additional funding, please see your assigned Success Coach. If you do not have a Success Coach, see the One Stop Office in Harriman or Oak Ridge or the staff at any of our off-campus sites.

What is verification?

Verification is the process to verify the accuracy of information that has been reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Not all students are required to go through the verification process. If you are selected for verification, additional documentation that supports the data provided on the FAFSA will be required.

What happens when a student is selected for Verification?

What if I have questions regarding the verification process?

Please contact your assigned Success Coach or the One Stop, if you do not have a Success Coach. If you wish to communicate via e-mail, please submit your questions to your Success Coach or the One Stop (onestop@roanestate.edu) from your Roane State email account.

How do I know what I need to do to complete verification?

You will have an alert in the Alert Box inside your RaiderNet portal. The alert that you have outstanding requirements for financial aid, will take you to a list of the items needed. Some items are forms that may be completed online. Documents that need to be submitted should be turned into your Success Coach or the One Stop (if you do not have a Success Coach).

What is the deadline to submit documents for verification?

You may still submit documents for the semester you wish to begin after the dates listed below, however, we cannot guarantee that your aid will be ready by the start of the semester. You are encouraged to complete outstanding requirements as soon as possible to ensure your aid package is ready and that you are considered for all sources of aid that you may be eligible for.
