NOTICE: Our Oak Ridge Campus is hosting an emergency exercise on Saturday, March 22, beginning at 8am and ending around 1pm ET. Please do not be alarmed if you see emergency vehicles and first responders in the area. This is just a drill.
The TEAS V Allied Health (Test of Essential Academic Skills V for Allied Health) (formerly known as the HOBET) will measure the abilities of students to undertake the demanding programs of health occupations. The test sections do not deal with specific knowledge in a particular subject, but they test students over a wide range of content areas. These content areas and skills include the knowledge of basic math, science, grammar, skills of critical thinking, and reading comprehension skills. These skills and achievement abilities are primary to health care occupations. TEAS V Allied Health can be called a diagnostic test since many components of the test help to understand the aptitude of the test taker.
The TEAS V Allied Health is a required component of the application for admission to the follow programs:
The test is designed to measure academic processing skills and compare them against a national average. The test is a multiple choice assessment that is timed and takes approximately 3 hours and 29 minutes to complete.
For questions regarding the TEAS V Allied Health and its involvement with particular Allied Health programs, please contact the Director of the Program you are interested in.
