Subject: Support for Educational Assistance

Roane State Community College is committed to the need for the continued professional growth and development of employees. Support for educational assistance of personnel is an important vehicle for addressing that need. These programs are available subject to funds being available and budgeted within the institution.

Additionally, the institution supports educational assistance for the spouses and dependents of employees as well as other groups identified in Tennessee Code Annotated and TBR policy or guideline.

Roane State Community College will follow the requirements of TBR Guidelines P-130 Educational Assistance for TBR System Employees, P-131 Educational Assistance for Spouse & Dependents of TBR Employees, B-061 Educational Assistance (State Employees and Dependents of State Employees and Teachers, and B-062 Other Educational Assistance Programs. The groups identified in TBR guidelines may be eligible to participate in the various programs, contingent upon classification, service requirements, and other restrictions. Complete eligibility information is contained in each program.

Unless otherwise restricted in TBR guidelines the president or designee may make exceptions to this policy.
