Roane State Community College is offering a four-week course to prepare students for the Project Management Institute’s PMP certification exam.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute is a highly regarded distinction that can lead to higher salaries and increased marketability.
For comparison, a PMP exam prep course offered through Villanova University costs $1,495. A prep course offered by the University of Texas Professional Development Center costs $1,895.
The Project Management Institute, the world’s leading nonprofit membership association for the project management profession, calls the PMP certification “the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers.” According to the institute, the certification improves employees’ marketability and “positively impacts project manager salaries.”
Perry Jones, a PMP Certified Trainer with Oak Ridge-based Street Legal Industries Inc., will lead the course.
Are you communicating your unique contribution as you interview? You may perform proficiently thinking everyone functions the same when you are especially talented in an arena. Identify and learn to employ your individual skills, talents and strengths confidently as you pursue your dream job. Confidence in presenting yourself well will impress your interviewer.
A previous workshop participant said, “This workshop helped me to realize I was capable of doing more…It opened my eyes to finding new direction.”
This course will prepare students to gain skills and knowledge to pass the Department of Energy (DOE) Core Academy and start a career as an entry level health physicist in a DOE facility.
The course, titled “Back into Black,” will cover topics such as debt reduction and ways to save money on everyday purchases. Participants will develop their own debt-reduction plan as part of the class and are invited to bring a list of their debts.
George Lucke, an author, seminar presenter and executive director of Back into Black, will teach the course. Back into Black is a financial education service dedicated to helping people break free from the burden of debt.
