There are several different funding avenues for students who participate in the Middle College program. The Federal Pell Grant and several other financial aid programs are not available to students who are still in high school. However, the programs below are specifically designed for middle college students:
Mechatronics Middle College Grant - students enrolled in the Early and Middle College Mechatronics program are eligible for this last-dollar grant funded by the State to cover expenses related to their participation in the program. A student must first apply for the TSAC Middle College Scholarship or Dual Enrollment Grant (Early College students). All other avenues of scholarship and grant funding must be exhausted prior to these funds being applied. To retain this grant funding, students must remain in good standing with the College and fulfill all obligations and requirements of the Middle College Mechatronics program. This grant must be renewed annually by the State Legislature.
Once registered for classes, a college representative must go in to verify the student meets the eligibility requirements and the business office will apply the scholarship or grant to the student account in RaiderNet.
Tuition is calculated based on the number of credit hours the student is taking each semester. Carefully review the Bursar’s office webpage for information on cost, how to pay, discounts, deferred payment plans, deadlines and refund information: Bursar's Office: Tuition & Fees - Roane State Community College.
