All Students will be required to be enrolled in both sections of the Southwest Field Trip, MSC 261 and SSC 221, which are college credit courses.
The fee for each section will be $550.00 for a total of $1100.00 for the trip.
Each student is responsible for contacting OneStop and/or their Success Coach to see if their financial aid will cover the course tuition.
If your financial aid does not, you will be responsible for paying the tuition.
Tuition is the base charge for any credit hour course. In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional fee due to traveling expenses that financial aid will not cover.
The total fee for the trip is $1100.00 (MSC 261 Section $550.00 and SSC 221 Section $550.00) and covers the following:
Van Rental and Gas
Campsites
Equipment
Breakfast and Dinner
Drivers and Chaperones
Misc./Emergency Fund
A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is due for each section (MSC 261 and SSC 221) for a total of $100.00 in the Fall semester (Deposit Deadline December 15, 2023) before you can be enrolled in the Southwest Field Trip Course.
The remaining $500.00 for each section (for a total of $1000.00) will be due by February 12, 2024.
If a student is unable to pay the total fee by February 12, 2024 they will be purged from the dropped from the course, the student will not receive any credit for the two courses, and they will forfeit any fees or tuition already paid.
Please note that if you are unable to attend the trip and have paid the fees and tuition, we will be unable to refund your fee after the refund deadlines due to set travel expenses that cannot be adjusted.
However, students will be provided with alternative assignments in order to get credit for the courses.

January 15, 2024 - Last Day for 100% Refund for Full Term
January 29, 2024 – Last Day for 75% Refund for Full Term
February 11, 2024 – Last Day for 25% Refund for Full Term
