There are a variety of scholarships available through the Roane State Foundation. Not all scholarships are based on financial need. There are scholarships available for certain majors, non-traditional students, students with a disability, academic achievement, etc. There may be a scholarship just waiting for you, but you can't be awarded one if you don't apply.
Description: The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Oak Ridge Branch promotes equity for women, lifelong education, philantrophy, and positive societal change. The number of scholarships each covering the tuition of one 3-hour course will be determined by the amount available for the scholarship and the quality of the applications received.

Description: This is a scholarship for up to $1000 for women who are return to college after an interruption in education or continuing their education, post high school, at a university, community college or technical school.

Description: The Career and Technical Scholarship Program is funded through the generosity of Horation Alger Association Members, Jim F. Dicke II, and Dennis Washington. Scholarships are awarded to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited non-profit secondary institution in the United States.
Eligibility Criteria:
Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies. All scholarship funds are paid directly to the institution on behalf of the recipient.

Decription: Each year the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of higher education in diverse areas of study including history, economics, law, political science, medicine, nursing, occupational and physical therapy, elementary and secondary education, chemistry, math, science and English.

Description: This East Tennessee Foundation Scholarship Program is made up of different scholarship funds established by individuals, firms, or organizations wanting to assist individuals pursuing a college education. 2020 East Tennessee Foundation Scholarship opportunities include scholarships for which adult students are eligible. Scholarship information, including detailed descriptions and application instructions, as well as 2020 applications, will be available on the ETF website, http://www.easttennesseefoundation.org/receive/scholarships.aspx. All ETF scholarship applications must be completed and submitted online. Attached please find a copy of the online applicant tutorial. The application deadline for ETF 2020 scholarships is February 15, 2020.

Description: The Morgan County Cattlemen's Association (MCCA) will award up to 3 scholarships of $1000 each to outstanding students who are pursuing or continuing careers in the agriculture/beef industry, a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) area of study, or teaching grades K- 12.
The purpose of this program is to identify and encourage talented and thoughtful students who aspire to complete their higher education and develop careers that contribute to their communities.

Description: The NCMA is dedicated to the professional growth and educational advancement of procurement and acquisition personnel world-wide. The NCMA advances educational goals by encouraging both students and institutions to promite interest in business, procurement, and/or acquisitional fields. The East Tennessee Chapter expects to award a $2000 scholarship to a deserving undergraduate or graduate for the Fall 2022 semester.

Description: Scarlett Foundation scholarship is for students who have graduated or will graduate from high school in mid-TN counties and is pursuing a business or STEM major full-time in the fall of 2018. They must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and must have financial need.

Students are also encouraged to pursue scholarship opportunities outside of Roane State. Sources for information include public libraries, civic groups, and the internet.
