Roane State Foundation

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Roane State Foundation offices are closed beginning Wednesday March 18, 2020 until further notice, per Tennessee Board of Regents and College policies and expectations. We will maintain core business activities to the extent possible, working remotely, and request that you reach us via email as needed. Our team will get back in touch with you as soon as possible given the circumstances. We would also strongly encourage making a gift to the Roane State Food Pantry or to the Foundation's Pay-It-Forward Program: Emergency Aid to support students in need during this challenging time. Thank you for your support of Roane State Community College students.

100% For Students

The Roane State Foundation was founded in 1979 as a separate not-for-profit entity with the purpose of providing financial support for the students and programs of Roane State Community College. The Foundation seeks to enhance community awareness of the college, to secure private contributions and bequests, and to manage monies or properties given to the Foundation.

Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the Foundation provides financial support for college activities and scholarships. In order to make higher education accessible to all of our students in the counties Roane State serves, we have built and furnished campuses in Roane, Anderson, Cumberland, Knox, Loudon, Campbell, Scott, Fentress, and Morgan Counties.

The staff of the Roane State Foundation are dedicated to helping RSCC students succeed. For the 2018-19 academic year, the Foundation helped change the lives of over 500 students. This included scholarship awards of $178,000 for traditional and adult students, $125,700 for Middle College students and $70,000 for Dual Enrollment students. Pay-It-Forward program assistance for students included $13,800 for Licensing Fee Exams, $11,000 for Finish Line Aid, $7,000 for Emergency Aid and $5,400 for Adult Student Aid.

We want all our students to reach their goals and receive the diploma or certificate of their chosen programs. If you are a student and financial stress is hindering you from getting to class, DON'T GIVE UP; you may qualify for Emergency Aid from the Pay-it-Forward Program. The Roane State Foundation is also licensed to manage Charitable Gift Annuities. You can make a gift that will benefit Roane State Community College students or one of our campus projects in the future and receive guaranteed fixed income for life! Income payments to you are usually considerably higher than your return on low-earning CD's and bank accounts. Please learn more about CGA’s here and contact us to discuss establishing one that will benefit you now, and Roane State Foundation in the future.
