Roane State Foundation

As the COVID-19 pandemic brings new challenges to our campus community, we want you to know that the Roane State Foundation will always be there for our students in need. If you’d like to assist with these efforts, we strongly encourage making a gift to the Roane State Food Pantry, the Pay-It-Forward Program for Emergency Aid, or the new Raider Fund for scholarships. Thank you for your continued support!

100% For Students

The Roane State Foundation was founded in 1979 as a separate not-for-profit entity with the purpose of providing financial support for the students and programs of Roane State Community College. The Foundation seeks to enhance community awareness of the college, to secure private contributions and bequests, and to manage monies or properties given to the Foundation.

Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the Foundation provides financial support for college activities and scholarships. In order to make higher education accessible to all of our students in the counties Roane State serves, we have built and furnished campuses in Roane, Anderson, Cumberland, Knox, Loudon, Campbell, Scott, Fentress, and Morgan Counties.

The staff of the Roane State Foundation are dedicated to helping RSCC students succeed. For the 2019-20 academic year, the Foundation helped changed the lives of over 400 students with $408,843 in total assistance. This included scholarship awards of $191,528 for traditional and adult students, $77,231 for Middle College students and $121,636 for Dual Enrollment students. Pay-It-Forward student assistance for Licensing Fee Exams, Finish Line Aid, Emergency Aid and Adult Student Aid totaled $18,448.

We want all our students to reach their goals and receive the diploma or certificate of their chosen programs. If you are a student and financial stress is hindering you from getting to class, DON'T GIVE UP; you may qualify for Emergency Aid from the Pay-it-Forward Program. The Roane State Foundation is also licensed to manage Charitable Gift Annuities. You can make a gift that will benefit Roane State Community College students or one of our campus projects in the future and receive guaranteed fixed income for life! Income payments to you are usually considerably higher than your return on low-earning CD's and bank accounts. Please learn more about CGA’s here and contact us to discuss establishing one that will benefit you now, and Roane State Foundation in the future.
