Kathy Snipes Support Staff Book Scholarship

The Roane State Community College Foundation maintains the fund established by the Support Staff Council members to help our own support staff personnel with the cost of books when taking classes at Roane State. The scholarship is funded by donations from Roane State employees. It's our way of helping one another.

The Support Staff Council did not have an official name for this scholarship until May 16, 2008, when it was officially named the Kathy Snipes Support Staff Book Scholarship. Kathy retired from RSCC at the end of May, 2008. During her 20 year tenure at Roane State, Kathy has held several offices in the Support Staff Council, chaired and coordinated the Gayle Mullins Memorial Support Staff Book Scholarship Committee, the Silent Auction Committee, and the Craft Fair Committee. She has had an enormous impact on the students, faculty, and staff at Roane State. Many times Kathy has served her peers and students well beyond the call of duty. She has been a model employee, mentor, and friend to many of us at Roane State.
