Items sent by courier must be properly labeled. Labels must include the recipient's name, department and campus location. This information must be clearly located on the front of the envelope/package.
Mail and small packages may be left in the series of boxes in the mailroom, D-109. Mail boxes are clearly marked for each satellite campus.
Deliveries of larger items and/or special bulk shipments may be scheduled by submitting a Work Order Request using the eMaint - New Requests link in the eMaint Work Order System box at the lower left corner of the Banner tab in RaiderNet. Items picked up by the courier will normally be delivered the next day, or the same day if in the courier's forward line of travel. Users must then allow sufficient time for internal distribution, which is handled by others. Internal mail distribution is the responsibility of the Business Office. Each satellite location will have a designated "mail person" to coordinate deliveries, sort mail and serve as a point of contact.
The courier service will be provided each workday to each site except for Friday. On Friday, the courier picks up/delivers from Roane, Cumberland, Knox and Oak Ridge campuses only. The courier's estimated arrival and departure times at each stop will be posted at each location. The courier schedule can be viewed here.
Users of the courier service must mail items in sufficient time to allow for an occasional delay. Traffic congestion, road construction, accidents, severe weather, mechanical problems and other unpredictable events adversely impact the reliability and timeliness of this service.
