What Is a Dean of Students?

The Dean of Students office oversees many of Roane State's student support services such as Counseling, Disability Services, and Parent and Family Engagement. I also work with a network of staff members across our campuses to address student basic needs insecurities. Additionally, I manage our Student Conduct Policy and serve as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator.

If something outside the classroom is having an impact on your classroom success or your college experience, my team can often help! We connect with a broad spectrum of community partners so that we can help our students navigate through issues with living situations, health issues, personal problems, or conflicts with other students. To start this process, just email need@roanestate.edu and we'll be in touch as soon as possible!

The Dean of Students office works in tandem with the campus community to encourage and support the Vision, Mission and Values of the college. Ultimately my goal is the success of our students.
